Art lessons for children (7 – 11 years)
ART LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (7-11 years)
Based on the philosophy of “educating a free personality through art,” we invite children to enter the world of art through a playful, impression-filled creative process. Creativity is encouraged using modern teaching methods, a wide variety of high-quality art materials, and by integrating music, theatre, animation, world history, geography, natural sciences, ethics, and more.
An important part of the program is getting to know different art periods, styles, genres, and the most famous artists from Lithuania and around the world. To nurture children’s interest in art, art history is taught “live”—not through dry theoretical facts, but through imaginative, fun, and surprising creative tasks, professionally presented visual material, and engaging storytelling.
Classes include painting, drawing, sculpting, collages, and various three-dimensional art objects. Thematic exhibitions of children’s works are held regularly, and students are introduced to exhibitions and events at the Vilnius Children and Youth Art Gallery.
